Hello from Soap Pics!
We hope all is well with you and that so far, 2008 has proven to be rich in the love of family and friends, good health, much laughter and the opportunity for prosperity. More importantly, we trust that 2008 will continue to bring these good wishes for you and your loved ones throughout the year!
When we last wrote, we had just introduced our new addition of merchandise to our site and we were off to Super Soap Weekend ‘07, where we had the pleasure of running into many familiar faces, while making the acquaintance of plenty of new ones too; many of whom we first met on our site!
Before the year’s end, we wrapped up our efforts with Greg Vaughan, making a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Caleb Parsons. In doing so, we were able to welcome in 2008 by passing the baton to a new charitable cause called Modest Needs to work with another friendly face from GH, this time Sonya Eddy (a.k.a. Epiphany Johnson), so that we can shed some light on and raise some funds for an organization that offers incredible services for modest to low income families experiencing difficult or emergent times throughout North America! 100% of the profit from all purchases of pictures and memorabilia made from the website since the New Year have been going towards Modest Needs and will continue to do so for the next few months. We’ll keep you posted with any updates as they become available.
Speaking of updates, have we got a scoop for you! It is with great pride and pleasure that Soap Pics announces that we have expanded our horizons to now include Events with your favorite Actors from All My Children, General Hospital and One Life To Live; and as always, we’re completely committed to making sure that all of our Events continue to keep our goal of philanthropy in mind! As is the case when you purchase pictures from our site, now you can also purchase your tickets for our Events with confidence knowing that 100% of the profit from all pictures, memorabilia, raffle tickets and auction items sold at EACH of our Events will go towards various charities that are near and dear to both ours and our favorite Actors’ hearts!.
Seeing as we’re always talking about causes that are “near and dear to ours and our favorite Actors’ hearts,” we figured what better cause could we choose to coincide with the launch of our Events than The Gabriel Project! There is no shortage of hotties to get your hearts racing when we’re talking about the likes of Aiden Turner, Colin Egglesfield, Jacob Young & Jeff Branson from All My Children right? And these are just a few of the people that we have lined up for you!
So be sure to check us out at www.soappics.com by going to our Events page so you can get all the details and buy your tickets now! You can also help us spread the word by going on all the message boards and sharing this news with all your friends, who can share it with all their friends, who can share it with all their friends, etc., and we can all do our part in giving back and making sure that we all help generate as much awareness for and funds towards as many charitable causes, big and small, as possible; and it doesn’t hurt that we can all be doing this while having fun, laughing and living it up with some of the most beautiful, kindhearted, giving and talented people in the process either!
Once again, we thank you for your continued support and help in launching our dreams onwards and upwards and we look forward to seeing you at our Events!
Ma ryAnne, Dennis & Abigail
